Our Story…..

Two people dressed in costumes standing inside a house, smiling and posing for a photo.
Three off-road vehicles parked on a dark dirt surface with icebergs and snow-covered mountains in the background under a blue sky.
A person sitting on an ATV near a river with snow-capped mountains and a cloudy sky in the background.
Night sky filled with stars above dark silhouette of pine trees.
A smiling elderly man with a long white beard and wide-brimmed hat taking a selfie on a boat. Next to him, a woman wearing sunglasses, a black beanie, and a jacket, holding a drink with lemon. They are on a boat with turquoise water, snow-capped mountains in the background, and clear blue sky.
Night sky illuminated with the northern lights, displaying shades of purple and green, over snow-covered trees and a small building.
A group of four diverse friends smiling and taking a selfie at a marina, with boats docked in the background. One person is wearing a wide-brimmed hat, and others are dressed in casual clothing with beanies.
A woman dressed as a witch with a pointed hat, surrounded by forest animals including an owl, fox, rabbit, and hedgehog, with a backdrop of the northern lights and a mystical forest scene.
I’m Kimberly, and my partner in both life and mischief is Bobby. Life with us has never been anything close to boring. My husband and I grew up in a small-town Salem, Arkansas, yes, a little cliche, but true: two kids with muddy knees, big dreams, and a shared knack for getting into delicious trouble.
I’ve always spoken fluent food. Until now, my “witchy” culinary gifts were reserved for friends and family. Secret potions whipped up around a well-worn stove, taste-tinged spells that sent people straight to happy places. But family nudged me (more like shoved lovingly) into this next chapter: sharing the magic wide and loud.
Before I became a kitchen conjurer, I was in the Air Force and later earned a master’s in Cultural Anthropology with advanced studies in Native American Culture. Those years taught me that food is a universal language, a map of memory, ritual, and belonging that crosses every border. I use that map every time I stir a pot.
Bobby and I carried our suitcases from Montana to the wild and wonderful state of Alaska. COVID nearly took him. He was on a ventilator for over 20 days and when he came back, we both came back different. That slow, fierce recovery taught us the obvious truth: life is too short not to chase a dream. So here we are in beautiful Butte, Alaska, with a cozy house, full-time jobs, and a kitchen that refuses to be ignored.
Cooking for me is spellcraft. I don’t just season; I summon. I don’t just plate; I tell stories. Watching someone close their eyes and be transported to another world after one bite? Pure enchantment. That joy is the real ingredient in everything I make.
Welcome to our little kingdom of flavor — where a pinch of history, a dash of culture, and a heap of love turn ordinary meals into something truly magical.
